Panmure House In 2 Minutes

Exploring the vibrant history and academic legacy of Panmure House through an engaging, multi-format digital campaign for Heriot-Watt University.

// Overview

The Brief

Heriot-Watt University, Business School, established a long-term collaboration with Video Production Edinburgh to present an engaging series of videos to explore the rich history and vibrant activities of the esteemed Adam Smith Panmure House in Edinburgh.

  • Objectives: Produce consistently branded explanatory videos for the new Panmure House website, and increase public engagement to both in-person and online events
  • Audience: 18-75-year-olds interested in economics and history
  • Challenge: Create vibrant and modern content from a subject which is often not perceived as such

The Approach

We suggested a creative approach based on telling the story of a place that, thanks to its history, can bring answers to the challenges of modern society. The production included:

  • Creative Strategy: Supporting the production of the script making sure it resonated with the targeted audience and delivered the key messages
  • Shooting Optimisation: We created a tight schedule for filming, producing footage for several different videos on the same session
  • Post-Production: 8 consistently branded videos cut-down and optimised for Instagram and Linkedin

The Outcome

The campaign drove a significantly higher public engagement rate compared to previous years. Beyond the metrics, Heriot-Watt University and Panmure House gained a high-quality asset library that continues to serve its marketing purposes years later.
